| About Me: Steve (McBrayer) Jarrott was born and raised in Kansas City (primarily on the Kansas side) and graduated Shawnee Mission North High School in 1982. He had always fancied himself an avid radio enthusiast with one day hoping to actually be on the air of some FM station. His big inspiration growing up was Casey Kasem who counted down the hits every week on the successfully syndicated “American Top 40” until 1988. In fact, Steve was fortunate to have actually talked to Casey on the phone at one time when they played a request for him on their feature “Long Distance Dedication” (March 1983). |
