Want to become a DJ with HappyHits Radio?

The following are required:

• A PC (1Ghz or faster CPU)
• 1GB (1024MB) or more RAM
• A sound card that generates good quality sound
• Headset/Mic (stand up Mic has poor quality sound)
• A broadband internet connection (DSL or Cable)
• A music library with at least 1000 songs

Internet DJ Criteria

1. Ability to speak English clearly
2. Must have creative outgoing personality
3. Must be able to multi-task yet keep your composure and interact with listeners
4. Submit a signed non-disclosure agreement
5. Agree to HappyHits Radio Terms and Conditions
6. Understand your time is a volunteer basis
7. Availability to commit to a specific shift
8. Submit a press kit for publication

Prospective DJs are put through a short On~Air test.

The following will be evaluated:

1. Sound quality and vocal talent (primary)
2. DJ skills (broadest scope of talent, introduce a song set)
3. Promotion ability (advertise website and features)
4. On~Air reading ability (ie. read a band bio/tournament announcement)

If you have been selected as a HappyHits Radio DJ, be prepared to sign a non disclosure agreement and email us a head shot picture of yourself to post to the On~Air staff section of our web page.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

HappyHits Radio has been started as a place where a group of people (DJ's) work together in a volunteer setting for the benefit of our listeners. Our listeners range in age from 6 months old to ? and all music MUST be 'nanny approved'.

In the future HappyHits Radio may expand and have an Adult Station or Late Night Adult time slots, BUT at the present time HappyHits Radio is a family oriented station.

Each DJ working with HappyHits Radio is unique and is what makes HappyHits Radio our listeners, Happy Place. We are a place our listeners can visit to escape from the trials and tribulations of their day... THUS, political and religious views of each DJ are not to be aired. Bad mouthing anyone, or a former station you might have DJ'd with is not allowed. HappyHits Radio IS NOT an avenue for Self-Promotion or a place to flirt or 'pick-up' a listener as a Boyfriend or Girlfriend.
